The pur pose of an Enterprise Day is to introduce students to the idea of working for themselves and startin g their own business. Using the input and experien ce of volunteer entrepreneurs we get students to w ork in a team to solve a challenge that they see i n their community\, using a business idea to do so .
The day is a chance for them to learn more about business\, namely the 5 Ps of Product\, Pri ce\, People\, Place and Promotion\, and to have a go at creating a business idea. Each group of stud ents will create their own miniature business plan and pitch it to the rest of their class\, the win ning idea from each class then goes on to pitch to our panel of entrepreneurs\, with an overall winn er being declared who may then be invited to a fur ther event later in the academic year.
As a volunteer\, you will inspire the students to explo re creative ways of solving problems and empower t hem to see their own ideas as viable solutions for the issues that matter to them. Your role is to a ct as a guide for your groups\, helping them to un derstand what it takes to turn an idea into a real product and taking them on the first step of seei ng this as a potential first step in their own ent repreneurial journey.
